Technically we are not celebrating Thanksgiving in Germany, but there are so many festivities that find their way from the USA to other countries. Personally I would love to celebrate Thanksgiving, since I think it’s the perfect time to get together with family and friends and be thankful for what we have and self-reflect on our blessings. I thought it would be a good idea to write down what I’m thankful for this year, since there are so many wonderful things in my life that I’m thankful for each day. Of course I’m trying to remind myself of my blessings each day, but during this special time of the year I’m extra grateful.
Health – Being physically and psychically healthy is the most important thing for me. Without it you couldn't enjoy all the other beautiful parts of life. I'm so thankful that my loved ones and I are able to wake up each day being overall healthy and I will never stop taking care of their and my well being.
My family – I'm happy to have a family that I know will be there for me forever - in the best and in the hardest times. It's definitely not something that should be taken for granted and I will be forever thankful for my family and their love and support.
Julian – I'm more than thankful that I've met Julian and that I can spend my life with him. I can't think of something I'm more excited about now and in the future. More than anything I'm thankful for his love and incredible heart that he shows me everyday. Finding true trustful love just turns around your whole life and there is nothing more beautiful.
My job – Not only does my job provide the freedom to care for myself and pay for my apartment, I also love to go to work everyday. I'm so proud and thankful that I worked hard to get where I am now and I appreciate that I went through a lot of hard years to be able to do what I do today.
This blog – Magnolia Charles is something that gives me so much life, excitement and energy. I'm so happy to have this creative space of my own where I can share my passion. And I'm so thankful that it gives me the possibility to connect with you, so thank you for being here.
Safety – This is something that we all don't actively think of each day, but living in a country where it's safe and were I can go outside without feeling fear is something I'm very thankful for. Being able to just living my "normal" odd life where there are hopefully no serious life-threatening problems is such a big thing. Of course everyone still should be attentive and cautious all the time.
There are a lot more things I could go on and on about! Everyday and today I'm very grateful. I'd love to hear what you're thankful for especially this year? All of you, appreciate life and it's oh so small things that make you very happy!
