Even though the temperatures are dropping and fall is here, it doesn’t mean I need to stop wearing my favorite summer prints, colors and pieces. Transitioning to Fall is made easy this season since the stores are full of beautiful new items that you can incorporate in your late summer/early fall wardrobe
For my part I can’t say goodbye to light colors, floral prints, feminine dresses and open shoes yet. Good for me that I can continue wearing all of them. For light colors I adore those camels, beiges and earthy tones, as well as the gorgeous millennial pink that pops up everywhere. Think about cozy cashmere jumpers in camel and elegant satin blouses in millennial pink. I’m seriously eyeing this cashmere cardigan and this blouse from Zara, but you can shop more of my transitional staples in light colors below.
Floral Floaty Dresses
There are a lot of floral printed dresses out there right now, for example this Zara midi dress (can you tell I love Zara’s new collection at the moment?). This one is in the most beautiful green and pink shades, that makes you excited for the fall season, and I love that it has long sleeves and is cinched in at the waist. I paired my light colored River Island suede leather jacket with it to keep me even a little more warm. This is a great way to continue wearing your floral summer dresses as well, you don’t even have to buy new ones.
Lastly I’m happy that the mules trend is not going anywhere this new season. It’s just updated with new materials such as velvet. I immediately fell in love with these Free People blush pink velvet loafers when I saw them. But I also love these Rochas velvet bow mules, the Nicholas Kirkwood Beya mules and these cute leopard Ulla Johnson ones.
A new start
The change of a season doesn’t just affect your closet, it also marks a new start in your personal and professional life as well. It’s the possibility to change over your daily routine, start with habits you always wanted to incorporate in your lifestyle and set new goals for the upcoming months. Now that the summer amusements are over we are more focused and more ambitious. I think it’s that back to school feeling that will never really leave our mind.
It’s the time to plan ahead for the upcoming months until Christmas. What do you still want to achieve this year? Buy yourself a pretty notebook and make yourself some lists. For my part I also have a To Do list that is called “Someday”. Oh, but when is this someday going to be? Maybe it’s now and I will feel very accomplished after ticking of some of the things in the next weeks.
The best thing is that you don’t only have to make lists and goals for tasks you are maybe not too keen to undertake and that you’ve been putting off for as long as possible. What’s more fun is to make yourself a Fall To Do list with exciting adventures or simple pleasures, you’d like to do the next months. This things can vary from booking a romantic Fall vacation, going to the pumpkin patch, taking long walks through the falling leaves, reading some books or taking a cooking class. Whatever makes you happy!
Furthermore set yourself one to three goals you still want to accomplish this year, not more so that you can be very focused. Maybe you’re eager to have a raise or you always wanted to start with yoga or open your own blog? Why waiting for the new year? It’s the time for taking action now and I promise you that you’ll feel great after setting your intentions and even more happy after reaching these goals.
