The perfect statement winter coat

Woohhoo it’s the Monday before Christmas and the first day of my two weeks Christmas holiday. Right now while writing this, I’m sitting in a train on my way home to my family. It’s sunny outside, the landscape is flying past me, I’m driving home for Christmas and I’m writing this blog post, which  all makes me feel very very happy. I’m not going to lye - my suitcase is massive and heavy as hell and stuffed with presents and not enough outfits and shoes to my taste. But since I’m planning to have a lot of chill out time in my Christmas pajamas at home it should be fine. Seriously can’t wait to have long chats with my mum and sister in our kitchen while having all sorts of food and overlocking the countryside. My parents house is in the middle of nowhere and it’s always so refreshing to return after some time in the big city. Sadly I needed to leave Julian in Berlin, since he  still has to work this week and he’ll spend Christmas with his family after that. But we’re going to have some days off left and also we’re celebrating new years eve together in Berlin after my return on the 27th December. Right now I will make the most out of my time with my family and I’m so excited to see the faces of my parents picking me up from the station in a few hours. First stop: Christmas market - ooh yes!

And now onto this look that is my ideal weekend outfit for the winter time. Isn’t this coat absolutely stunning? Right now I’m absolutely obsessed with Ted Baker and I especially love all of the beautiful coats they do. This one is just so feminine and classic, but special at the same time with the big fur collar and the belt detail. Especially in winter coats are the key piece of every outfit, since it’s what everyone is seeing and your dress or top is mostly hidden underneath it. This one is my perfect special winter coat that makes a statement on its own.

I paired the coat with this cute blush pink beret (you knew my obsession with berets would go on) and my Chloe Drew bag. Most days I’m not too happy carrying this light colored bag in the winter weather, but if it’s this sunny and worn with the light grey coat it makes a lovely feminine outfit. Also these ankle boots have become my favorite everyday shoes during the last months. They’re so comfy and go with absolutely everything.

Wishing you all a lovely festive week before Christmas and we’ll see each other again here on Thursday for the post of this years Christmas Eve dress. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you feel inspired!
