What I’m thankful for

Technically we are not celebrating Thanksgiving in Germany, but there are so many festivities that find their way from the USA to other countries. Personally I would love to celebrate Thanksgiving, since I think it’s the perfect time to get together with family and friends and be thankful for what we have and self-reflect on our blessings. I thought it would be a good idea to write down what I’m thankful for this year, since there are so many wonderful things in my life that I’m thankful for each day. Of course I’m trying to remind myself of my blessings each day, but during this special time of the year I’m extra grateful.

5 Things I learned about myself through blogging

This month actually marks the one year anniversary of Magnolia Charles. To be honest with you, I thought I would be at a total different place with my blog right now. Not that I expected it to have a ton of following, but I’d rather expect me to be in a better place with it and be a lot more into the flow of things. I’m still struggling to find my routine next to my full time job as well as my own voice and identity. And that’s the most important thing right? Consistency and Identity. I’m sure that it will develop quite natural over time, it will just take a lot more time for me, since I can’t post 3-5 times a week.

Fall Must Have: The Beret

This outfit is basically created around one of my favorite fall accessories - the beret. You can see it everywhere on Instagram right now and it’s such a cute add on to every look. I’ve already bought this beret last year, you can see it in one of my first posts, and I was so happy to get it out for this season again. It’s the center point of this look, which is a very classic one with the checked dress, black pumps and the camel coat. I can imagine a modern Audrey or Grace to wear it for a meeting.

How to have timeless style while experimenting with trends

Lately I’m thinking a lot about what my style is and if I can still be experimental with other trends without losing what is “me”. Especially since I want to build up my brand here on Magnolia Charles with a cohesive feel and really want it to fit to what is me. I would define my style as feminine, classic and quiet timeless. Never the less I often catch myself thinking that I still love something different while browsing Instagram, Blogs and Magazines.
