If there is one pattern in Spring/Summer that will never lose its vibrancy or get out of trend it’s florals.
Especially if you are a feminine type like me, you’ll repeat to reach for it again and again. At some point at the beginning of each year I am freaking out over all of the dark clothes in my closet and therefor I always can’t wait for Spring to wear all the pastels and florals. They simply make you happier.
With this look I wanted to create an outfit that is uber feminine and not your typical casual look (that usually include jeans and flats), but that’s at the same time absolutely appropriate for everyday wear. I can totally imagine me wearing this for work or to go for a flower run and you can easily change the straw bag for a clutch to make it appropriate for evening garden parties.
This Newlily skirt via Asos has such a nice tailored fit with the little included belt. The flower print is very modest and not too loud and the basic color is also a really pretty cream color not white. I’ve paired it with my new favorite top from Ted Baker with the delicate ruffled sleeves. This will come in handy this summer tucked into skirts as well as worn over jeans. I think it complements the flair of the skirt so nicely.
Lastly for the accessories I wanted a little heel to achieve those extra feminine vibe and decided for these comfortable light pink block heeled sandals. The ones I’m wearing are old, but I’m obsessed with these Steve Madden sandals that even have a lower heel and come in so many beautiful colors. Seriously tempted to stock up on the nude ones since they will fit your whole summer closet.
After I was looking for straw basket bags over the whole internet, I decided to buy this very affordable one from Amazon, since I don’t think you need a Designer nor expensive price tag on these kind of bags. I’m absolutely happy with my purchase and how it finishes my feminine floral look.
