Feminine Winter Style

Staying warm and chic

It's no secret that my favorite way to dress is in a very feminine way. And it's definitely no secret that it's not easy at all during the cold winter months. No light and flowy dresses or cute ballerinas or slippers can be worn with these temperatures. Of course you really need to bundle up in lined boots, chunky knits and uber warm jackets when we get to the point of bitter coldness, but there are some days were it's acceptable to wear a little bit less and maybe freeze just a little bit. If you're not a fan of tights I can not recommend over knee boots enough. This Stuart Weitzman Lowland ones have already been my best investment this winter. And if you're wearing a well made fitted wool coat that will keep you warm, but still looks put together, you'll have the perfect essentials for your feminine winter look.

After sorting out your foundation to staying a little bit warm with the over knee boots and a feminine coat you can actually add whatever girly pieces you want. It can be a beautiful dress or a blouse with a skirt. For my part I love this cute basic top from J.Crew that also has a very feminine design detail with the ruffles on the collar and sleeves. It's very fitted and will go tucked in any skirt or even worn under a dress without sleeves for adding an extra layer. My classic navy Claudie Pierlot skirt was my option for the day. And not to forget the final and very important detail: the velvet blush pink bow in my hair. You're ready to go!
